Fantastic Food and Service.

We had a lovely, ready prepared Christmas meal delivered to our door on Xmas eve. Ken was really friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. A huge thanks to Ken and his team for making Christmas Day easy and hassle free.

We’ve used Ghillies Kitchen for many a year now and they’ve always been excellent in delivering our meals. Although it has changed hands recently the choice of menu and service is still of a high standard and this golfing group wish Ken and his staff our thanks and best wishes for the future. We had Ghillies kitchen are our catering team for our wedding at Bearnock lodge back in Feb and they were wonderful. We had a set menu in mind and they delivered. The food was very good and they were also fine at changing a few items for fussy guests. From the time Ken & Jenny arrived until they left 36 hours later, they were busy on the food preparation & delivery, even with family members moving around them in the kitchen. As Simon G, the previous reviewer said, the food was amazing, the delivery wonderful, the layout of the tables and all the extra bits that went in between. The seafood platters, the late night mac & cheese & sausage rolls, the assembling of the wedding cake…. it was all just fantastic. Thank you to all your team.

Scottish fare with loads of flair

I may be biased having worked for Ken for over a decade but it also means I see at first hand the love and skill that goes into his food – every menu worked out with the client – tailored to the event they are hosting. Ghillies Kitchen source only the finest local produce right down to what boat the fish comes off of and what hill the stag was standing on when it was shot. His food quite simply is good to look at but even better to taste, His wedding buffets are outstanding – to stand and hear the comments of the guests when they see what is laid before them. To sum up Ghillies Kitchen – “clean plates and lots of chat around the dinner table”

From his kitchen to your table

I might be a wee bit biased given i have worked for Ken for over a decade – but I am ideally placed to tell everyone just how much passion and thought goes into his food choices. He takes the time to get to know his clients and works alongside them to produce a menu which not only looks amazing – but is filled with flavour leaving them wanting more.

I get to hear the oohs and aahhs as his food is taken out to the table – and without exception the compliments that follow when we do the check back. He takes the time to leave the kitchen and go out to speak to the guests, to find out if they have enjoyed it – and always a wee bit of the highland craic.
